The IMPACT on GOAT Gives Foundation
When we first started our GGF Nights, we anticipated the great impact the players would have upon our honorees. We even anticipated the impact the honorees would have upon the fans. However, witnessing the impact that these amazing kiddos and families have on the players and coaches has impacted GGC ten-fold. We have witnessed former and future MLB players and managers cast aside egos and routine, for at least one day, to make the kids the most important part of America’s game! This has inspired GGF to bring a GGF Night to even more sports and more stadiums each season!

IMPACT on Everyone
HR 4 LIFE
Each GOAT Gives Foundation Night is highlighted by the “HR 4 Life”, a between innings, in-game promotion. The “HR 4 Life” spotlights one honoree who is battling cancer. While both teams line up on their respective foul line, the honoree is introduced to the crowd, including their brief biography. Following their introduction, the honoree, along with their player partner, “touch ‘em all” while high fives are shared from both teams.
The “HR 4 Life” is a symbol of honor for all kids who have beaten cancer, those who are currently battling cancer and those whose battle with cancer has completed.
The “HR 4 LIFE” is the most impactful part of a GGF Night. Many of the past honorees who participated in the tribute faced special circumstances that made their 240’ trip challenging. Several wheelchair bound honorees, including a young man who was also legally blind, completed their trip around the bases with the help of their partner players, encouragement from both teams, the umpires and a raucous standing ovation from the crowd that gets louder with each base conquered.
On paper, the “HR 4 Life” is touching. In person, it is humbling.
